Construction services account for the largest share of industry activity, followed by heavy and civil engineering construction and building construction.

Despite the continuing national decline in manufacturing activity and employment in the past decade, the Macleay Valley’s manufacturing sector remains strong, providing almost 800 jobs and accounting for 8% of total industry value add.
