Kempsey waste cell
Summary
Kempsey Shire Council is constructing a new waste cell, Cell 4, at the Waste Management Centre on Crescent Head Road.
The creation of the new cell is vital to reduce the stress on the local environment and meet the shire's waste disposal demands for the next five years.
The works will include:
- excavation of the nominated area
- storage of the virgin excavated natural material within the site perimeter
- construction of the new cell, including all necessary civil works, supply, installation and testing of the lining systems and commissioning of the cell.
Timeline
Construction of waste cell 4 is progressing and is forecast to finish up in 2023.
