The recovery effort for local farmers affected by the recent flooding was given a much-needed boost Friday 21st May with the Rapid Relief Team stopping at Kempsey Showground, bringing trailer loads of hay and silage with them.

Along with fodder kindly donated by farmers from the Southern Highlands, the Farmers Community Connect event offered mental health support, rural financial counselling, veterinary assistance with Council offering dog registration to local farmers who were impacted across the Shire.

The Rapid Relief Team’s Farmers Community Connect events focus on the well-being and mental health of farmers connecting providing opportunities to connect with the community, have a bite to eat and reach out to local service providers.
