Council have partnered with South West Rocks Figtree Descendants Aboriginal Corporation to celebrate National Reconciliation Week.

Immerse yourself in local Aboriginal culture, learning from South West Rocks Dunghutti Weaver Nancy Pattison as she hosts two free weaving sessions on Saturday 29 May.

The first cultural weaving session will begin at 10am followed by another at 11am, taking place at Back Creek Reserve, Buchanan Drive, South West Rocks.

RSVP to Nancy on 0476 000 418 by Friday 28 May as places are limited.

National Reconciliation Week 2021 begins Thursday 27 May until the 3 June.

This year’s theme is ‘More than a word. Reconciliation takes action’ and encourages all Australians to think about how they can move towards braver and more impactful action.
