Cr Sue McGinn with Kempsey residents at the Community Catch-up

Council’s series of community catch-ups continue with Kempsey’s debut taking place on 6 May 2021 with upwards of 30 community members attending, along with various Council leadership staff, Mayor Liz Campbell and Councillors Mark Baxter, Leo Hauville, Dean Saul, Sue McGinn, Anthony Patterson and Bruce Morris.

Discussion surrounding the future of Kempsey and the Macleay Valley was emphasised through robust conversation and the vision for Kempsey emerged through themes including industry advancement, sustainable development and advancing reconciliation.

The next stop in Council’s Community Catch-up is Stuarts Point next week, where we will work with the residents to shape a vision for their future.
