The new building at the Hat Head Water Treatment Plant

The Hat Head Water Treatment Plant has received improvements to secure the safety and efficiency of the facility into the future.

Council has installed a prefabricated operator’s building with a laboratory and amenities as well as mounting a pressure sewer system to connect the amenities to the treatment plant.

Renovations to the existing building at the location were also carried out. This is to improve the safe storage of chemicals within the building.

In the next phase of the project, Council will construct retaining walls and concrete paths to further enhance safe chemical and equipment storage and operator access.
