Flood waste update as at 12.15pm Thursday 1 April.

The following flood waste assistance work is being carried out today and over the long weekend.

STUARTS POINT

12 skip bins are being deployed in Stuarts Point today. For those in Stuarts Point and surrounding areas that are starting their clean-up process, please use skip bins for flood waste if possible otherwise place flood waste on your kerbside. These skip bins will be replaced as they fill. ADF and Fire & Rescue mobile crews are assisting in Stuarts Point today with clean-up work.

Please do NOT enter properties still subject to evacuation orders to commence clean-up, this is prohibited. Provisions will be provided for these properties when permitted to return.

FISHERMANS REACH + SURROUNDING AREAS

If possible, please use skip bins located in Stuarts Point for flood waste, otherwise place flood waste on your kerbside.

SMITHTOWN

The clean-up in Smithtown is almost done with a small mobile support crew in place this morning. Skip bin collection is occurring today and a catch-up 3 kerbside bin collection will take place on Friday.

MARIA RIVER ROAD

A small mobile support crew will be working to help properties on Maria River Road today. Where possible, residents should put flood waste on the kerbside. Council will be organising skip bins for this area as soon as we can get access. ADF will also soon be in the area to assist residents in getting flood waste to the kerbside. 

MACLEAY VALLEY WAY

A small mobile support crew will be working to help properties on Macleay Valley Way. Skip Bins will be deployed and the ADF will provide support today in the area around 306 Macleay Valley Way. 

HAT HEAD ROAD

The skip bins on Hat Head Road will be picked up today (Thursday)

SOUTH WEST ROCKS ROAD

The skip bins on Hat Head Road will be picked up today (Thursday)

JERSEYVILLE

The ADF will be deployed to Jerseyville today to support residents. Skip bins will be picked up this afternoon (Thursday).

BERANGHI ROAD AND LOFTUS ROAD

A team will be carrying out assessments of the scope of damage in the area today (Thursday).

TEMPORARY FLOOD WASTE FACILITY

The Temporary Flood Waste Facility in Frederickton has been closed to public access due to safety issues. It continues to be used by commercial operators. Community members disposing of flood waste should use the skip bins or take it to a Waste Transfer Station or the Waste Management Centre. 

STUARTS POINT WASTE TRANSFER STATION

Stuarts Point Waste Transfer Station will be open all four days this public holiday weekend. 9am-4pm Friday and Saturday, 9am-12 noon Sunday and Monday.

SOUTH WEST ROCKS WASTE TRANSFER STATION

South West Rocks Waste Transfer Station will be closed all four days of the long weekend.

BELLBROOK WASTE TRANSFER STATION

Bellbrook Waste Transfer Station will be closed all four days of the long weekend.

WASTE MANAGEMENT CENTRE

The Waste Management Centre on Crescent Head Road will be open 7am-4.30pm Friday, 9am-4pm Saturday and Sunday and 7am-4.30pm Monday.

CATCH-UP BIN COLLECTION

The free 3 bin collection for the entire shire will continue across the weekend.

RETURN AND EARN

Kempsey's Stuart St carpark RVM is back on and operational from Thursday.
