Waste Collection

While the team at Cleanaway are trying their hardest to provide the usual service, they are facing numerous challenges including staff unable to safely make it to work, routes that are cut off by flood waters and closed waste facilities. As such, though your road may be dry or facing limited impact, there are many reasons your bin may not be collected in the coming days.

If it is feasible and safe, you can put your bin out for collection on your regular days, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee collection for the time being.

Catch-up bin collections

Starting on the morning of Monday 29 March, Council will run a full week of catch-up bin collections.

On your regular bin night/morning please put out ALL THREE of your bins. This will be a FREE service for all in the community.

Council’s waste contractor Cleanaway will collect all bins from every property with a waste service next week. This service is only for regular household waste, which must still be sorted into the correct bin.

Please DO NOT place flood waste or hard waste on the kerb side.
